GFH Production stands for Gifts From Heaven. We believe by implementing these programs and resources, our parents, youth and children can benefit by having a bigger and brighter future. Some benefits of GFH to children are: bridging the communication gaps between parents and child; promoting unity amongst each other, building self love and confidence within the individual, providing greater understanding to real life issues, allowing individuals to realize that they are not alone in their situation, helping children know that help is available to them, instilling greater understanding of uncomfortable topics, and challenging their ability to think fast if faced with adversity.
It Starts With You
1) Build Confidence
Self-esteem and self-image are two of the most common factors that impact a childs future since they affect learning, relationships, and growth at all levels.
2) Be Supportive
It is our children who shape the future, and anything that affects them in a negative manner should be addressed at an early age, regardless of gender or ethnicity.
3) Communicate Understanding
The best gifts that you can give to a child are understanding and open communication. Once a child has a basic understanding of the world around them and the support of their parents and educators, they are better able to deal with issues they face in life.
The best gifts you can give to a child is understanding and open communication. Once a child understands what is going on, they are able to deal with issues they face in life, especially with the assistance of a teacher or parent. The author, Serenity is well aware of issues children face as she is a mother of three, two boys and one girl. Serenity believes that when raising children we are faced with numerous questions and obstacles that need to be answered and solved through open communication and understanding. She believes it takes a village to raise a child, and it is up to us to expand a child’s horizon. Throughout Serenity’s life, she has worked with a diversity of children. She has encountered children who have been raised by relatives, by single parents or those raised into a family home. Whatever the circumstances, all children need guidance. All children watch each other and have questions of their own.
They compare their situations to their friend’s and at times wonder about their own circumstances. By having open communication, this will bring understanding and reality into perspective and will shed light on how the real world works. Children need to know they are never alone and that other children have been where they have been and they too ask the same questions.
Serenity writes books because children are constantly looking for answers, especially about situations they are afraid to talk about or just don’t know how to deal with. She brings understanding to real life issues, helping children deal with them and how to deal with what they may encounter during their day-to-day life. She encourages open communication with a child on topics which may be bothering them and they are afraid to confront an adult about. She also opens the line of communication for parents to have a conversation with children.
Serenity has a comforting, light and humorous way about addressing serious topics with children. While the issues at hand may be uncomfortable for children to discuss, Serenity always finds a way to relate to children and adults in comfortable, family-oriented scenarios. She brings to life the characters with her realistic writing style and use of colorful language. Reading her books with children as a family or classroom is encouraged, as they allow children to discuss the situations and issues in their own perspective.
